Special attention was given to the artificial intelligence, to give players as much as a challenge as possible, without cheating. With an infinite number of game environments (maps) and numerous game options, the challenge for the artificial intelligence to come up with a good move in about one second was significant. I had to resort to custom memory allocation, because the .NET garbage collector was too much of a bottleneck in this specific case.
